TUFFCUT XT V5LCB - 5 Flute End Mill with Centre Coolant. Solid Carbide with ALtima Blaze Coating - Aluminium Chromium Nitride (AlCrN). Designed for EXTREME Productivity in Roughing and Finishing Applications. 16mm - DIN 6535 - Form HB with One Drive Flat. The V5LCB End Mills feature a New unique chip breaker and flute design which provides exceptional metal removal rates and effective swarf control. The 5 flute variable pitch design with integral chip breakers and enhanced core strength profile that enables the full flute depth to be utilized in high-speed machining (HSM) applications to yield exceptional metal removal rates. The flutes are precision-ground with an advanced flute geometry and an unequal pitch to remove harmonic vibration and gives vibration free machining at extended axial depths of cut. Ideal for peripheral and trochoidal milling. ALtima Blaze is designed to allow higher material removal rates. This coating has a higher oxidation temperature than a typical TiAlN coating.

It has shown very good results in Nickel Alloys, Titanium and other difficult to machine materials. Tools coated with ALtima Blaze can be used in dry machining. 5 Flutes give up to 20% or more in productivity over four flute styles. For Roughing and Finishing Applications.
